Crown of Ashes by Amanda Aggie is book 2 of the Dark Halos series. This dark fantasy romance is exceptional... filled with romance, friendships, mystery and adventure.
Amanda has a way of describing scenes with such imagination and is described so well that I can picture the scenes play out in my head. It really seems like I'm watching a movie or tv show and the plot stays with me until I'm driving myself crazy living in this fantasy world that I don't want to leave.
Alice and Kai are dynamic together and apart. It's been so fun getting to know each of them as independent characters and as a couple.
The supporting cast.... Luri and Finn are so fun to read with their quirks and their loyalties. I just want to hug them both and maybe squeeze them to death.
I'm loving the uncertainty with Lucifer's character. Is he good? Is he bad? Is he out for himself? What's motivating his decisions?
The fight scenes in this book are detailed and makes for a great adventure. I can picture every move they make. Their steamy scenes sizzles and makes you wanting more. The surprises are juicy and unexpected. The plot thickens as each chapter is read and the cliffhanger will bring you to your knees praying for the next release to come sooner rather than later.
Crown of Ashes hits every check mark in my book and instantly became a favorite that is sure to be on my reread list over and over again. I will impatiently wait for book 3 and think of scenarios in the mean time.
