Prince of Hawthorne Prep by Jennifer Sucevic is my first from this author. This is book 3 in the series and part of a duet, so be prepared for a cliffhanger. I haven't read the first two and part of me felt like I was missing something. Not enough to dissuade me from reading on.
This duet is about Austin and Delilah. It's a love triangle, bully romance set in high school. I definitely suggest you take a look at the trigger warnings before getting started with this book.
I myself love really good bully romances. I have my own triggers, but I couldn't put this one down. This story sizzles with grit, vengeance, malice, tension, electricity, possessiveness, and steamy hot smutty scenes. I was captivated from the beginning and encaptured all the way to the end. So much so, that I was disappointed to find out that it ends with a cliffhanger. Yes, I did not realize it was a duet. LOL
I absolutely love a guy that shows a little possessiveness and Austin has that in spades. The story hasn't given Delilah enough time to really assert a strong character and I'm hoping that she will evolve into that in the concluding book.
I'm thoroughly invested in the Hawthorne Prep series by Jennifer Sucevic and have every intention of reading the first duet in the series as soon as I am able.
