I received the Rookie Mistake by Lisa Suzanne as an ARC that I won. I had not read any of the other Vegas Aces Series previously so I went in not having any idea what it was about. I sometimes will go in blind so that I have no preconceived ideas. I like to be surprised.

Surprised, I was! This story had me guessing, emotionally invested, entertained and interested to the very end. So interested, in fact, that I had not realized that it ends in a cliffhanger!

It has secrets, family troubles, rebuilding relationships, second chances, friends to lovers, small town romance, love triangle, deceit.... you name it, it has it. It will leave you anxious and excited for what's next in book 2.
