Just finished reading A Not So Meet Cute and Meghan Quinn delivered. It's light and funny filled with steamy scenes.
It's about a woman, down on her luck, looking for a rich husband.
It's about a man, so determined to get to his goal, he ends up lying to make a deal of a lifetime.
They meet in the most unlikely of places and decide to make a business deal to help each other out. The deal: He pays her student debt and accompany her to her high school reunion. She plays his fake fiance who also happens to be pregnant. Both recipes for disaster.
He's set on being as professional as possible. She's looking to get to know the man buried deep inside this robotic front.
They find themselves in hilarious situations that had me chuckling and smiling like a lovesick teenager. Their meet ups with Dave and Ellie are beyond laugh out loud funny.
Through hatred, constant bickering and heated fights, they find a way to bring their walls down. Through gritted teeth and skepticism, she learns to be more mature and he learns to have a little fun.
The proposal is so incredibly romantic, I'm now wishing my hubby had done something like it. LOL I'm also waiting for rain and reenact the roof scene.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book. It brought some lightness to my day. I think my dog, Pippa, gives it a 4 lick rating with a bag of popcorn. What do you think?
