Fumbled Hearts by Meagan Brandy came as a surprise for me. I had no idea that the characters in this book had a connection to the characters from Say You Swear by Meagan. Say You Swear has risen to the top of my favorites, so imagine my surprise when I realize at the end of the book that these are the same characters featured in it.
Before even realizing that fact, I became obsessed with Nate and Kalani along with the rest of the characters. Mia, Parker and Austin all played some great roles that I'm excited to read about.
Nate is the ultimate bad boy "man whore" turned into the best book boyfriend ever. The chemistry between Nate and Lolli is steaming hot with a side of flaming hot Cheetos. All the ways Nate showed his love for Kalani is what dreams are made of. His understanding of Kalani and her needs.... wow! Though Nate is all confidence and bravado, inside he's an insecure, protective boy/man looking to have the love of a lifetime.
Kalani's strong-willed, no holds bar persona is something else. But underneath all the stone cold appearance is a little girl who's suffered so much in such a short life. Her internal struggles and no care attitude is hard to crack.
This story was a funny, thoughtful, angsty, steamy, romantic, full of banter, swoon worthy in every sense good! Meagan Brandy has once again hit romance out of the park. She has most certainly become a one clicker for me and has risen to the top of my favorite authors list. You just can't go wrong with a Meagan Brandy book.
