Save me by Vi Carter is the second book in the Broken People Duet series. You must read Deceive Me before reading this book.
Save Me continues with Layla and Jared's story. Two souls broken by people in their past trying to overcome lies, abandonment, and abuse that have shaped both of their lives. More mysteries and answers are revealed in the second book which I hadn't expected.
Jared's possessiveness is off the charts...to the point where I was questioning my loyalty to him. I must say it did confuse me at times. I didn't understand where the story was going, but I am really glad that I stuck with it because it explains so much in the end. I was able to understand Jared's personality and character more after finishing the book.
Overall, I would say that I liked the storyline. It's a pleasant read, but got a bit confusing in the early chapters of book 2 as far as Jared's character is concerned. I will say that it picked back up by the end of Save Me and left me with a satisfied feeling.
Save Me by Vi Carter has mystery, intrigue, steamy scenes, and some surprises in the end that had me gasp with revelation.
