Here's book two of Ruthless Games by Callie Rose. Sweet Retribution is the continuing story after Sweet Obsession. You must read this in order, it is not a standalone book.
The cliffhanger from Sweet Obsession had me asking was Marcus shot? What happened when Ayla falls unconscious?
Does Marcus live?
I don't do well with cliffhangers, but luckily for me, I didn't have to wait at all to start the next book since book 2 and 3 have already been released.
Here, Ayla wakes up underneath a body. Blood was everywhere. Was it hers? Was it Marcus?
She realizes that the body on top of her is not Marcus, but in fact, Carson. How did he get here? Who shot him? Where is Marcus? Did someone take him?
This second book is about trying to find out what happened to Marcus, Ayla joining the game to help end it, and Ayla forming a stronger bond between her and Theo, and her and Ryder. There's a twist or two in this book and my curiosity has me wondering what will happen in book 3.
We'll find out who the players are in the game and who killed Carson and why? What do they need to do to win? Who can they trust?
The heat level in book 2 kicks it up a notch. You'll be needing something to cool you off.
