The first book in the series, The Awakening.
It's about twin girls learning to become powerful Fae. Hidden from their true world and raised as normal humans. On their 18th birthday, they discover the truth about their bloodline. The only living survivors of Fae royalty, the Vega family. Rulers of a world, Solaria, filled with shifters, vampires, wolves, sirens, phoenixes, unicorns and all the like.
Four boys, soon to be men, groomed to lead a world from birth by the four strongest families in Solaria. Bound together in the strongest of friendships, they might as well have been bounded by blood.
One man cursed with a blood bond and forced to protect, serve and love. They swear to train and learn everything, waiting for the chance to bring the person responsible for their nightmares, suffering and torture.
Zodiac Academy, a school for the Fae elite in their society. This is where their journey begins. Fighting for a place in the world of Solaria as rightful rulers, learning in a school with 4 determined rivals to keep their status from rising and become Queens. Finding friendships in the least likely of places and allies hidden in plain sight. Fighting from falling in love with their enemies. Discovering themselves and gaining strength from every obstacle set before them. Struggling to keep their morality, mortality and humanity. To become Fae, you must fight for what you want and take it.
This series has become my obsession. I want everything Zodiac Academy. My soul dog and book buddy, Pippa, gives it a whopping 6 lick rating with a side of chocolate and a big box of tissues. Trust me, you will need both.
If you prefer to read things chronologically, technically Ruthless Boys series occurs 5 years before Zodiac Academy. Then it's anchored by Darkmore Penitentiary set 5 years after Zodiac Academy.
All three series sets can be read by itself in any order you wish. I found it easier for me to read the first 4 books of Zodiac Academy, then read all of Ruthless Boys, Go back to book 5 of ZA and continue with the rest until book 7. While waiting for book 8, I read all the bonus books with the points of view from other characters and read Darkmore Penitentiary to finish it off.
